Grateful Dead
Convention Center - Cleveland, OH
12/06/73
SBD
I think this is the perfect saturday treat a good ol' Grateful Dead show. This show, at Public Hall, Cleveland in 1973, features quite a few mind benders... For starters. there's an epic jazzy Dark Star that's 43 minutes long! Captain Trip is definitely taking you places with it. Belive you me, this Dark Star floats around without direction, stumbles on occasions, it has so many dissonant passages but still... it's magic, you manage to survive it and be grateful for the experience. I could keep on going, talking about Here Comes Sunshine or Ramble On Rose but... nah, find out for yourselves. Please enjoy this show.
I highly recommend you to add this show to your '73 collection.

A lot of people say 1977 was the year the Dead hit their stride, but I still prefer 1973, probably because that was when I first saw them. I can even remember parts of it.:)
